Fern Way was the perfect place to celebrate my nephew's college graduation and to reconnect as a family living near and far. The house is so welcoming- the setting, the details in the house, the light- just beautiful.

We had a lovely time! Even the rainy days were enjoyable, because of the comfort of this beautiful house. The island is terrific- takes much longer than a week to explore! So, we look forward to the next visit!

Our time on Mount Desert Island has been a delight. We watched the sunrise form the top of Cadillac, saw a finback and 2 minki whales, visited lighthouses, biked through Acadia, hiked the Gorham Mountain Trail, swam at Sand Beach, ate Bill and Bens ice cream and climbed around Thunder Hole and then returned exhausted but content to this lovely home. It was so refreshing to have a delightful home to return to at the end of the day instead of the 4 beige walls of a hotel room. Thanks for letting us house your special comfortable home.

Thank you for a great week at Fern Way. We had never been to Bar Harbor and it was absolutely beautiful. Our three teenagers had plenty to do and all had their own space so it was perfect for us. Thank you again. We hope to be back some day.

It was great to have such a nice house and large yard to be able to enjoy our first visit to Maine in. We walked to the lake to swim and despite the cold water we had a blast. The kayaking was great too. We even learned how to play a new game you so generously provided. We had a great week, everything was beautiful.

We enjoyed your beautiful home! It was our first visit to Maine and we did everything on our list including hiking Cadillac Mountain and Beech Mountain, biking the carriage roads, Sand Beach, Echo Lake, and kayaking Long Pond. We enjoyed the sunset at Bass Harbor and taking a boat to Cranberry Island and we had lobster TWICE!! We had a great time and we hope to come back in the future!!

Great house! Great location! We kayaking out of Bartlett landing, had dinners in Manset and snacks in southwest harbor, and the kids tried camping at Seawall. It’s a treat to enjoy the world of M.D Island without going through Bar Harbor. The house is so comfortable, spacious for our various rainy-day activities, terrific kitchen, and wonderful porch for dinning. And we were amazed by the workmanship of the house, from the banister and fieldstone wall to the kitchen layout. Thanks for everything!

Your house is great — such a perfect setting and everything we needed. We loved having the pond so close by for early morning kayak trips and our 3-year old's first forays into swimming. Thank you for your hospitality.
