Eagle Cliff Guest Book

This house was quite, private, close to town and Acadia, secluded, had beautiful artwork, and big enough for our group. Booking through Mountain Sea Properties was easy.

There were many factors that lead to our rental of this house including number of bedrooms/bathrooms, location of the house in proximity to the water and from other attractions, and the cost per person (8 people) was very reasonable. We loved the view, the balcony, window exposure facing east, well-equipped kitchen, the sitting area accommodated us well, towels and linens were available, the washer and dryer were handy, loved being able to compost and have wireless internet and phone access.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful home with us- we has a wonderful time visiting our family here and exploring Mt. Desert Island, the view from the cliff is just spectacular.

Thanks for trusting us with all your beautiful art pieces. Your place is the best we've seen in some time, with amazing peace and incredible views of the waters. We won't forget Eagle Cliff for a long, long time. Thanks again.

Thank you for your kindness and never ending generosity. This home is magical and our family savored every day, sunset and lovely view. Many fond memories.

The views from this house are spectacular. The website does not do it justice. Compass Cove is really, really nice at low tide; there is plenty of sand and it's not crowded. The property is beautiful and very quiet and secluded. The house is well appointed and the pine/spruce scented air is wonderful. The reference/information folders were a major plus. This house has a close proximity to Bar Harbor and yet private. Mountain Sea Properties was helpful, courteous and had excellent information about local points of interest. We had a terrific time and it was a great place to decompress.

This house was recommended by friends, had the right number of bedrooms/bathrooms and was a wonderful location with its great view and proximity to town. The location was near the ruins of George Dorr, one of the founders of Acadia National Park, the atmosphere of the home was comfortable and convenient and was well stocked with tourist information, books, etc. Jennifer was always available to answer questions and was very knowledgeable about the area and services available.

We had a great time. We spent hours on the deck just looking at the view and listening to the caw of the crows.

For 9 years, our group has been vacationing together every summer. Old friends from all over gather for a week to laugh, tell stories, share great meals and a few bottles of wine. This year we decided to try Maine and how lucky are we that we found EAGLE CLIFF! Your house is so warm and comfortable. There were many days where we never left the balcony. Thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise.

This was the perfect way to spend our parent's 55th anniversary. Our memories of Maine are nothing but awesome. The view here is spectacular. We can't wait to come back in the near future.

We had a wonderful week- loved seeing all the deer, chipmunks and birds right outside the house, watching the water and just unwinding. Exploring the park and the paths to the shore at Eagle Cliff was great fun for all. Glad we stayed here — close enough to Bar Harbor but so peaceful.

A lovely and unforgettable place! This is a fabulous house: the view, it's comfortable, everything we could have wanted and more. Almost everything we wanted to do was within biking range.

What a wonderful and special place!! Thank you for sharing it with our family. We had a fabulous visit and look forward to many more in the future!!

What to day that hasn’t already been said…just one question- is there magic fairy dust in the water? Between our two families are 5 children at various ages and dispositions. Throughout the week they have displayed excellent behavior and even were nice to each other. Right now they are finishing their weeklong monopoly game. Whatever is in the water, I want some back at home!!

What a wonderful vacation home! Thank you for the opportunity to stay at such a beautiful house with stunning views and access to the beauty of Acadia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day. As our 2 year old said yesterday —"I wan tot stay here forever!"

Ah, sweet house! Wrap yourself around me... For two blessed weeks we will be doing all the things that bring us comfort and joy — home-cooked meals with meats and veggies from the Farmers Market... a surplus of lobsters, board games in the evening, breakfast on the patio, and sweet family time... it has been a privilage and a pleasure.

As Christopher Morley once wrote, "In every man's heart there is a secret nerve that answers to the vibrations of beauty." That secret nerve was Eagle Cliff.

Some days are diamonds. All days are diamonds here at Eagle Cliff! Our fourth year now — still discovering, still exploring... Saw 6 or 7 eagles souring by the house. Saw the cold moon over the water, the blazing sun heralding one magnificent day after another. Loved it all.

The day we pull the door shut behind us is the day we begin dreaming about next year's visit.

I can't imagine a better place to enjoy my vacation.

Spectacular Acadia National Park, the solitude of a Maine retreat, the ocean, the town of Bar Harbor...all of these interest at Eagle Cliff. And the home itself is so nicely done, like it was made for our family — it felt like home for a week.

Thank you for sharing your home and spectacular ever-changing views of the bay and islands.

[We] particularly liked seeing the deer outside our windows [and] loved to look at the boats going by from the deck.
